Well, mail was delayed for almost 3 1/2 weeks
Bob and Friends,
Well, mail was delayed for almost 3 1/2 weeks. Awaiting me was 5 big boxes full of goodies. Let’s just say they didn’t last long. The base has expanded tremendously and things are starting to open up. AAFES will finally come on line next week, the rec center is now open. A small one but at least it is improving the morale around here. I am writing you this to tell you that I will be heading home in the next few days or so. I wasn’t supposed to, but since everything is up there is no need to keep us all here, so I happen to be the unlucky or lucky ones depending on how you see it that is leaving almost 2 months early. I would like to thank EVERYONE in your organization that has been sending us the packages they have helped people with some comforts from home. The Cigars have been a real hit. I have taken some pictures, but I have to wait until I get a go before I send them. We are still considered to be in media blackout. Again Thanks!!!:-)
