Bob
I have been in Iraq for several months now and I have to say the boxes from your organization have been absolutely awesome.
The soldiers I work with love our mail call because it is much like a lottery and everyone is very excited when they see a box roll in with my name on it bearing the trade mark World Trade Center sticker. I cannot thank you and your organization enough because everything in the packages are put to great use. Of course our guys get to enjoy and yes, barter with the contents. I get a kick out of watching the soldiers say things like “I’ll trade you some goldfish for the cookies”. Everything that is left I take over and give to our chaplain and his assistant. He then takes the remainder of the contents and breaks them down into smaller boxes and sends them out to our smaller outpost’s where the guys take all of the things that they need or want and they then pass out everything else to the locals while out on presence patrols.
The case of cigars that you folks sent were a huge hit because on the base where I am we have a small place for everyone to get together and unwind. They host a cigar night once a week and they just hand out free cigars for everyone so I took the case of cigars down for them to hand out on their cigar night.
Again Bob, I can’t thank you and all the volunteers enough for their dedication and patriotism. Keep up the great work and please pass to everyone our thanks.
God Bless
SFC Adam
