I hope this note finds you well. Trust your holidays were blessed and fully of memories. You all have done so much for us during our time here in Iraq. Can’t say enough. It’s means SO much to get frequent reminders of care and concern.
I’m afraid that after 2 and one half years working as an Arabic linguist here in Iraq, my time is up. I’ll be returning to my family in just a couple of weeks. I wanted you to know so that you can take my name off your list.
If you want to replace me with another person here on the team so that your packages continue to bless and support us here on Shocker, Mark would be the person. He’s my roommate and is staying on here with the troops at least until the end of summer.
Again, thanks. Please send my regards and the thanks and gratitude of all the troops here on Combat Outpost Shocker (Again, thanks!) to all those you work with.
