Combat Aviation

Girl Scout cookies and candy bars.

I am 1LT , Platoon Leader of a Distribution Platoon in a Forward Support Company, TF Wolfpack.  We are a Combat Aviation TF currently deployed to FOB Salerno, Afghanistan.  On behalf of my Platoon, I would like to send our deepest appreciation for the awesome package we received today.  It truly was the highlight of our day.  The Troopers were delighted to munch on the Girl Scout cookies and candy bars.  My PSG loves her new Beanie Baby and is currently parading it around our AO.  The package came just in time for lunch so the Troopers ate assorted cookies after their meals.

Our mission is to provide continuous CLIII (FUEL) and CLV (Ammunition) to a full spectrum aviation task force.  We man a 24 hour Forward Arming Refueling Point and a 24 hour Ammunition Holding Area.  Currently we have been deployed for around 30-45 days and have already issued over 300,000 gallons of fuel to over 1700 rotary wing aircraft.  We have also issued thousands of rounds of assorted small arms ammunition and rockets.

We truly do appreciate everything you do for the Soldiers.  It is really a great morale builder!  I have attached a photo we took the other day.  It is one of our FARP sections taking a break from operations.

Thanks!
