troop letter: Ginny

May 30, 2009

Dear Mr. Bob,
My son Jared is a pilot who is stationed at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

Ramstein is the base where the wounded come from Iraq and Afghanistan to be treated.  If the soldiers make it to Ramstein, they have a 95% rate of survival.  Since most of them are flown there with only what they have on, the USO at Ramstein tries to fill in with every day necessities.  Chrissy, my daughter in law, emailed me and said that they are running low on toiletry items and I was hoping that maybe you could help.  They could use any travel size tolietries such as deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, mourhwash, etc.  for men and women.  I thought that maybe you might have a connection to be able to get them some of these items.  I guess they don’t really need the full size items.  Also, they are in need of new clothing such as t shirts, socks, sweat pants, underwear, etc.  I told Chrissy that I would let you know and maybe you could help.  Thank you in advance for any help that you can give them.

Thanks
Ginny
