troop letter: going home

I want to thank you and your crew for being so generous
Hello,
Well I’m close to going home and they are telling everyone in my unit
to tell our friends and family to stop sending letters and packages
because we are no longer going to be in country long enough to receive
them. I want to thank you and your crew for being so generous in sending
myself and all the troops overseas care packages full of goodies and
such things. Thank you very much!
