I gave away almost everything you sent
I really want to thank all of you for everything you have done for us. You have been very generous. Everyone cannot believe the amount of stuff you send. It is great. I will be going on leave in 2 weeks. I will be going home for my granddaughter’s 11th birthday on 14 Feb and my 1st wedding anniversary on 22 Feb. I will return here around the 1st of Mar. I have to go back to Camp Buehring by 15 Mar. I will be departing Kuwait a few days later enroute to Ft. Hood, TX. We will be there a few days then on home to Alabama.
You caused a little problem when you sent the boxes of 5 cheese Cape Cod kettle chips. The first box went slow. I went around giving different sections a bag. There is a warrant officer that works in the basement with us. She was making lunch for the guys she works with. She was glad to get the chips. She came back later and said that she loved the chips. I tried a couple of them. They are great. I am going to have to get some when I get home. I made the mistake of trying them after I opened the 2nd box. I came in the next day with the intention of getting a bag but they were all gone. It was a few days later when the warrant officer came over looking for a bag that I found out that CPL O had them stashed. Now they are down to the last bag. She comes over here every day to get 2 chips. She has CPL O hold them for her. She said that she is rationing them.
I just want you to know that we really appreciate your support. I am really going to miss getting a box from you. I always had to open the boxes from you right away. I was curious what goodies you had sent. I was wondering if you could continue sending the packages but have CPL Juan O III as the POC. He has agreed to share whatever you send. I just wish I could be the one still getting the box. I gave away almost everything you sent. I have been trying to lose weight and have been doing very good at it. It was hard with all the cookies and chips you sent though.
If you are ever in Alabama you have my address and email let me know. My brother lives in Malone, FL. He used to own the Stardust in Dothan. He has opened another club in Dothan. I do not know what it is called. My Mom lives close to Malone. I hope to go see them when I go home on leave in Feb.
CPL Juan
Thank you
