Hi Bob!!!
Hope everything is well with you, your family, and all the wonderful people back home that are helping you!!!
I just want to express my gratitude and that of our Summit Soldiers for everything you do for us…
Do you know what the most priceless thing to see is??? I will tell you…
The face of a smiling American Soldier.... That is priceless!!!
Our government spends a lot of money in morale, welfare, and recreation (MWR) programs to make things a lot easier for us here, and some of them work for some time… but, lets face it…
Being away from our families for such a long time… getting up in the morning not knowing how the day is going to really end… worrying about our children back home without dad to help them with their studies or to help them assemble their first bicycle… or simply… just trying to do the right things while being a good Soldier or goodwill ambassador of the USA here in Iraq… All of that could be very, very stressful to all of us…
I can tell you with confidence… No MWR program designed by the government has had the same success as what you do for all of us…
So.. When we get your shipments… Your gifts from the heart… full of goodies… full of nice surprises… full of “Home Stuff"… My Soldiers forget all about their worries and simply… “Smile”!!!!
Like little kids… they wait by the mail room, full of excitement just to see “what Bob is sending us”!!!
Yeah… That is how they know you… “Bob”!!!
You and your supporters have become great friends to my Soldiers… They have come to love “Bob”, even though most of them have never seen you… They know that “Bob” is more than just one person trying to support them. My Soldiers know that “Bob” is the American People sending to them their thanks for their sacrifices and their heartfelt support for everything they do…
Bob… I thank you… My Soldiers thank you… My Soldier’s families thank you… Just because you have made them smile… even in the face of adversity. Bob… I encourage you to continue your outstanding support.
Please, from all of us, pass on to those who are helping you, our deepest gratitude, and… please… tell them, that we are very proud of all of them and proud of being known as “Americans"… just like them!!!!
Take care and like you always say… GIT’ RRR DONE!
Sincerely,
Jesus
ps:
My First Sergeants and I will make it our mission to get you pictures of our local citizens of Iraq with your priceless gifts. Rest assured that they are very grateful for everything you do and your support to them. They now understand what it is to be an “American” and what is meant by what we know as “The American’ way of life” thanks to you and your supporters!!!! GIT’ RRR DONE!
