Dear Sir:

My associates and I would like to thank you and all involved in your organization for the wonderful gift you sent to me and my unit.

In explanation, my unit is comprised of eight people, all of whom are seasoned in the field of law enforcement and have been given the assignment of guiding, advising and mentoring an investigative branch of the Iraqi Government with high level corruption investigations. While being stationed here at the U.S. Embassy my living conditions, even though at times are a bit interesting, overall is tolerable and certainly better than most of our military personnel. My associates and I always like to share gifts like these with as many people as we can, especially the young military personnel that visit the embassy from remote outposts outside of Baghdad. Any time one of us receives a care package or gift from home we all feel a sense of great pride as we walk down the halls of the Embassy being watched by military and civilians from various countries all around the world. Everyone expresses how amazed they are to see how our servicemen and women, Military or civilian are still appreciated by our devoted fellow Americans back home. I am especially thankful to my “Aunt Joyce” who has always supported me in whatever my endeavors may be. After receiving the box and reading the note inside from my Aunt Joyce, several of my friends asked me to explain why I chuckled when reading the note and who is Aunt Joyce. After some thought and a few more chuckles I explained there was only one Aunt Joyce in the world, compared only with the character “Tigger” in the Children’s movie “The Jungle Book”.

“ The most wonderful thing about my Aunt Joyce…..is that I have the only one” There’s just no other like her.

With my sincere appreciation,

Jimmy
