Bob, I have been at another operating base and had all these boxes
waiting for me when I got here…
YOU ARE THE MAN!!! After everything we
have been through the past month, this is heaven or it seems like it
thanks to you… My guys and me sat down and had a few of the cigars you
sent to remember our good comrades that passed earlier this week. You
might have read about them in the papers. They were defusing a device
when things went horribly wrong. They will be missed dearly.
My guys haven’t had popcorn in quite some time, too… Thank you
for making this possible. We are well supported by our government. We
don’t need ammo, berthing, or things of that sort but what we don’t get
from them, you and people like you make this tolerable. I can’t say this
enough… Thank you.. I’ve been meaning to do something special for you
shipmate but have been really busy but I will make the time for it..
Give me a date that is special to you and I’ll fly a flag in your honor.
This is the least that all of us combat mentors can do for you. All of my
guys are in agreement with this.
