My guys took some cigars up North

Recently, we took a bunch of donated Beanie
Babies to a local children’s hospital

Bob,

I’ve received six or seven boxes of coffee, cigars, books, DVDs, hygiene
products and snack foods so far and have been distributing them all
around Afghanistan. My guys took some cigars up North near
Mazar-e-sharif when they went there to cover some stories for AFN and
the guys they gave them to were very thankful. They told me they had
tears in their eyes and cigar scissors in their pockets at the ready. I
also took some cigars down to Kandahar and gave some out down there. We
have some places around my compound where I can leave out the goodies
for people to help themselves. We just had a hail and farewell yesterday
with the International Security Assistance Force Communication
Directorate. I took bags of chips and cookies to augment the chow hall
food we had for our cookout. I also took a bunch of cigars for everyone
to enjoy. I’ve taken a few photos for you and plan on taking more.

I received one humidor that I keep in my AFN superintendent office here
at the New Kabul Compound. It’s very impressive and the contents have
been enjoyed by many.

If you still have the toys, I have locations to give them out to the
local children lined up. Recently, we took a bunch of donated Beanie
Babies to a local children’s hospital and I think we made a lot of
friends.

BTW, I’m getting an AFN Afghanistan coin made and you will be getting
the first one. Let me know if you could use more than one.
