troop letter: No PX

people out there so willing to give

I am SFC Michael, an Infantry Platoon Sergeant assigned to *th Stryker Brigade currently deployed to Afghanistan in support of OEF. My father tells me that he has been up to see you and that you have sent out boxes of things to my Platoon and I am writing to thank you ahead of time as we have not yet recieved them but really appreciate your extreme generosity. It is such a great feeling to know that there are people out there so willing to give their time and effort in support of our troops. We are in a pretty remote area in the south east corner of the country, (near Pakistan), and we rotate between our Battalion FOB and our Company COP. No PX or any other means of purchasing items so anything sent is always a big deal...again thank you all. If there was one thing I could think of to help morale it would be a TV and DVD player that we could set up to watch movies and such when we are not on patrol. Sounds like a big request but what a boost for my kids it would be. They deserve it as they do comprise the best Platoon in this entire Brigade. Thank you again and I would like to come see you when we re-deploy home. Maybe I too can help out in some way. Hit my dad up for pictures.
V/R SFC Michael
