troop letter: Our cup overflowith.
June 25, 2011
Again Bob, thanks! From all of us here fighting the good fight.
Bob,
Thank you for the great stuff. The troops were elated - so much so that we had a little incident where a Marine unpacked the microwave along with the converter for the soviet 19th century plugs they have here - thanks. Wouldn’t you know it - this same knucklehead plugged in the microwave to pop some corn, and blew the oven up. I told him for his punishment he will have to carry it along on the next mission and beat a Taliban to death with it. I was joking of course but he thought otherwise and said: “Awh sir, couldn’t I just strangle one with the cord? Do I have to take the whole oven?”
Bob everything was wonderful - thank you so much. Our cup overflowith.
Is it at all possible to send another microwave? I promise to supervise the knuckleheads this time. I also have a request from the men - they ask if you can send a CD player large enough to accommodate about 100 CDs. OK - I’m not trying to take advantage of your generosity, so forgive me if I’m out of line asking.
We have cold water now thanks to you Bob. We have good coffee, and six marines on weight control due over snacking - but our morale is good.
Rhonda (my girl back home) is happy too. She is the one who introduced me to your operation.
Again Bob, thanks! From all of us here fighting the good fight.
