I’ve been looking for ways to spread the wealth around the base
Bob, received second shipment yesterday. Again a big THANK YOU for the contribution to our morale.
I’ve been looking for ways to spread the wealth around the base. So far I’ve contributed to the Chaplin’s orphan mission, contributed several magazines to the camp’s medical facility waiting room, and shared the sweets and toiletries with my office colleagues as well as those of my roommate. I’m going to our MWR, which is very small and been closed for some time now, to see what they have and can use as well.
As for future shipments of goodies, I have a couple of suggestions that were presented. Candy is always nice. Nuts, chips and munchies like trail mix, chex mix, crackers, pretzels, and popcorn are also appreciated. I also appreciated the magazines that were sent. We can use DVDs to make up for the lack of a base theater and these would be great morale booster. The coffee has been a hit. All forms of toiletries are also welcomed.
We also have a need for office supplies, such as file folders, paperclips, pens, mechanical pencils, staple removers, and large rolls of tape for taping boxes for shipment home. Anything along those lines will help us tremendously.
Also, do you have a listing of items the Support Our Troops organization regularly stocks/ships? I may find some items that I have overlooked.
